I am not really a movie buff, but I do enjoy a good movie from time to time.
Stanley Kubrick's movies
I love all his movies, The Shining probably being my favorite. The Ball Room scene is unsettling in a very weird way (which is great). Other than that, 2001: A Space Odyssey is a masterpiece, but a bit difficult to watch a second time. Full Metal Jacket is also great – not only for this legendary scene.
The Godfather
First and second movies are flawless. Let's pretend that the third one doesn't exist. I am not a big fan of Mafia-themed movies, but this one is an exception. For me, these movies are not actually about the Mafia, but about family, loyalty and power. It's very interesting to watch the character dynamics and development. "I know it was you, Fredo. You broke my heart." The kiss of death.
The Shawshank Redemption
No wonder this movie is rated as one of the best of all time. It's full of hope and even for a cynic like me, it works and it's contagious. The ending scene is just beautiful.
Forrest Gump
The storytelling in this movie is exceptional. For me, watching this film was like seeing decades of American history from the perspective of a man who had accomplished an incredible amount in one lifetime.
Interstellar
My favorite sci-fi movie. I had to watch it like five times to understand a majority of it. The soundtrack is amazing.
The Lord of the Rings
Timeless classics. I never get bored watching them. The Hobbit movies are not so good.

Top Gear
Not the new one. Jezza, Hamster and Captain Slow created the best TV show ever. If you don't agree, you are wrong.
The Grand Tour
Really good, but not Top Gear level good. The specials are great.
Clarkson's Farm
This is pure gold. Clarkson can do anything and make it interesting. I think he did more for UK farmers than any politican could.
M*A*S*H
I can watch it again and again. It's a great show with a perfect mix of humor and drama.
Twin Peaks
A classic. Still don't understand like half of it, whatever. Will probably watch it again soon.
Peaky Blinders
10/10 for me. Literally a perfect show. Tommy Shelby is a badass in every possible way and Cillian Murphy is a hell of an actor.
Chernobyl
It's so good that I will never watch it again.
Monty Python's Flying Circus
I love british humor and these guys were the best at it.
Fawlty Towers
Another great british comedy. John Cleese is a genius.
Yes, Minister
It's a great show about the absurdity of politics.
